Located in the Gulf of Cambay, Dahej is a cargo port in the state of Gujarat. Developed as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ), there are not very many tourist places in Dahej. However, while in the region, one must make a visit to the Dahej Port – a 2km shoreline completely taken over by busy commercial activity. A short drive can lead one to the scenic Dashashwamedh Ghats – a beautiful place to witness a captivating sunset. Legend has it that it is here that Lord Vishnu measured the entire universe in merely 3 steps. There are also a few temples in the vicinity that boast of stunning architecture and intricate sculptures and carvings. The Bhrigu Rishi Temple, Bahuchara Mata Temple, Santoshi Mata Temple and the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple are among places to visit in Dahej.
